Mirabai Handloom began as a dream Lopa carried through more than twenty years in the UK.
When she returned to Kolkata, she finally opened the boutique she had always imagined: a small shop in Salt Lake filled with sarees she had found herself, on visits to the weavers who made them.
Ask her about any saree here and she can tell you where it was woven.
